You might ask why call this clock a gothic clock. Well one answer is the pointed arch which is characteristic of the gothic style. Another answer is its church like appearance as It is in the great churches and cathedrals that the gothic style was expressed most powerfully.
We do a lot of homewares using the gothic pointed arch as people, in general, are attracted to it and slate seems to lend itself well to this style.
